Early Wednesday morning - we began our five hour car ride to Lakewood near Denver to have Maya do my hair. We are so proud of that girl!! She is finishing her year at Paul Mitchell.
Tom & both agreed that this drive is probably
the prettiest we have ever done!!
For almost the entire way, we drove along a river...
I think (3) different rivers including the Colorado.
There are (4) deer in this picture.
Then to see Maya - love that girl!!
Love my new do!!
The long beautiful ride back to our motorhome.
I don't drive the motorhome so I try to do
the driving when we are sight-seeing.
The problem with that is I like to take pictures while we are driving - Tom won't do that!
Lots of tunnels right through the mountains but the big one is
Eisenhower Tunnel.
It was completed in 1979 and is the longest and highest
mountain tunnel anywhere. It's about 2 miles long.
And our last night here - celebrating Athena's 14th birthday!
